bwired and ProVision Launch the Largest Online Information Hub for Independent Optometry
ProVision have partnered with bwired to deliver Australians with the largest online information hub for independent optometry. Provision's all-new digital service offering launched today; providing consumers with access to local Australian owned and operated optometrists nationwide, including their unique specialties and services, as well as a comprehensive library of information on eye health and eyewear. The new website also enables visitors to book an eye test online and search the latest styles on the market.
The multi-purpose website also serves as a members' intranet - offering nearly 400 member optometrists access to relevant news and media, marketing materials, individual web page and newsletter management and product catalogue/ecommerce functionality to enable the ordering of stock.
"It's one of the most complex projects we've ever worked on", said Sam Saltis, Managing Director of bwired. "Fundamentally, a website must satisfy the needs of a company's various stakeholders; and in ProVision's case we had to consider a wide range of stakeholders. In the end coreDNA's ability to manage competing priorities, as well as the platform's capacity for scalability allowed us to deliver a project that successfully matched digital and overall corporate objectives, and we're really proud of the results".
ProVision is the largest independent optical group in Australia. ProVision needed to be able to maintain their position as the preferred association for independent optometrists, and bwired's website management platform, coreDNA, has enabled them to maximise their service offering for both the general public and their member optometrists, emphasising ease of use and accessibility for all stakeholders while improving operational efficiency.
"The new site will put the organisation on a level playing field with some of the larger corporate and internationally owned retailers. Not only does it provide the brand with a stronger online presence and greater visibility for members, it also provides a stronger, more personalised digital service offering for both consumers and members, further strengthening their competitive positioning in the market. Furthermore, the platform enables massive process efficiencies, reducing costs organisation-wide, and its flexibility is such that as new business processes are identified they can be easily integrated and catered for," said Saltis.
Showcasing the latest in web design and development, ProVision's new website has modernised their digital arm in line with corporate branding and standing in the industry.
ProVision's CEO, Cam Battaglia said "the bwired web solution was a standout in relation to other web platforms we reviewed. Its flexibility and scope to grow with us as an organisation, as well as bwired's robust organisational structure won us over.
bwired responded to each element of our brief and worked with us to create a solution that will benefit our 370 optometrist members, as well as the online public who will be recipients of substantial content and functionality. This investment allows ProVision to become a force in the Australian online optical marketplace and dramatically raises the awareness of independent optometry. From our perspective, the new site is only the beginning. We look forward to dynamically building on this investment to meet the ever changing needs of the market."
