Taking the sale online - where are you at???
As retailers increasingly feel the pressure of the global economic crisis, there will be an even greater shift to websites that work for business. Even if you're not a retailer, we're all in sales (really). Now is the time to put some time into your website and develop an online presence that works hard for your business.
Every week I see businesses wasting valuable resources on the creation of a website that's nothing more than a brochure. I've talked about the brochure website many times before, so much so that regulars here are probably sick of hearing about it. I'll say it again. A website is an investment. Setting up a retail store often runs in to the hundreds of thousands. Setting up a 30 to 50 K website that will reach more customers at a fraction of the cost per sale is cheap! Yes, I'm a salesman. We'd love to build your website. But putting that aside, I'm serious when I say that business owners must understand the power of the web. Supplement your retail shop with online sales. Develop a website like you develop your staff. Don't just work harder, work your website smarter.
If you're reading this and you think there's something in it, I urge you to dig deeper. Learn more and gain the confidence to invest in your website. At bwired we work hard at understanding the online channel, not just setting up a website that is 'transactionable' but helping you to use Google Ad Words, Ad Sense, affiliates advertising websites and, yes, even mobile to squeeze more out of your money and time.
